René Froger (Amsterdam, 5 november 1960) is a Dutch singer, who sings in his native Dutch language and English. He is the son of Bolle Jan who was a famous character in Amsterdam. Froger is the founding father of the Dutch superband De Toppers. He started his career with the song Disco a la carte in 1979, but had his breaktrough with a song in Dutch: "Alles kan een mens gelukkig maken", written by "Het Goede Doel". After his flashing start in Dutch, he went on singing in English.
