Biografie van Wies
Wies’ debut album was, as it’s title suggests, recorded in a fortnight. A group of talented musicians came together in january 2006 and bashed out the eleven songs that would become wies’ first solo outing! Wies is a talented young singer/songwriter, who was influenced by modern artists, such as Lucinda and Sheryl, as well as by great singer/songwriters from the 60’s and 70’s, such as Neil Young and Bob Dylan.Wies’ debut album was, as it’s title suggests, recorded in a fortnight. Wies is a talented young singer/songwriter, who was influenced by modern artists, such as Lucinda and Sheryl, as well as by great singer/songwriters from the 60’s and 70’s, such as Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Growing up in a musical family in Breda, she experienced the sheer power and beauty of artists such as Ray Charles and Ella Fitzgerald. Wies started writing songs from an early age and her first inkings were quickly discovered by enthusiastic crowds and journalists. She took her time to develop her song craft and vocal style, until she was ready to record her debut. Her album is released march 2008 and is highly anticipated!
