More than a decade of dancemusic... that’s what Dutch dance act T-Spoon stands for. It started out back in 1993 with the eurodance classic "No Time 2 Waste" and now in 2004 they are rocking the dancefloors. 2003 saw the release of the anniversary single "No Time 2 Waste 2003" which also featured the stunning "Alive & Kicking" as a sign that T-Spoon is just very much that... alive and kicking! Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Way back in 1993 two adventurous young men named Remy de Groot and Shalamon "Shamrock" Baskin got together to write one of the most powerful eurodance tracks of all time.T-Spoon paved the way for dance acts like Sash! who chose to work with different vocalists on each single, making sure that each song sounded unique and different, but yet still being very dance-able. In 1997 Remy de Groot came back from holiday with the smash hit "Sex On The Beach". "Sex On The Beach" was the biggest summerhit of 1997. Holland and Belgium went crazy to this song. The tropical sound of "Sex On The Beach" scored bigtime and it spent months in the charts and is still being played worldwide. The "SOTB" hype finally infected other countries in 1998. Countries like Australia, South America, Japan , Ireland, Fiji Islands were among the countries where the song reached top 5.BBC boycotted "SOTB" but thanks to them we managed to enter the UK top 40 at nr. 2, where "Sex On The Beach" stayed for several weeks. T-Spoon... the "best live dance act in the world"!
