Biografie van Nova Borgers
Nova Borgers is an upcoming singer from the Netherlands. She grew up surrounded by music; for all her relatives are musicians. For her first album “…same as never before” she chose songs, written by her father Bertus Borgers (known from Golden Earring, Herman Brood, Sweet d’Buster) which are rooted in the 70’s and 80’s. In 2006 she graduated from the Rockacademy in Tilburg also singing her farther ‘s repertoire.

In 2006 she graduated from the Rockacademy in Tilburg also singing her farther ‘s repertoire.
For this album she worked with some of the finest musicians she knew from the Rockacademy. The succesfull rockband Woost was a perfect choice to make this record sparkle. She recorded her songs at Rocktown Studio’s in Rotterdam, produced by Bertus Borgers and mixed by Ockie Klootwijk (K’s Choice, Do, Frederique Spigt).
The result is a diverse but cohesive album with songs that prove to be capable of surviving two generations of popmusic. Nova sings sensitive jazzy ballads, funky tunes and rocksongs with some country influences. Now the songs are provided with Nova’s warm tone of voice and modern charme, she is ready to bring them back on stage.
