Biografie van MusicoM Project

Hi Folks!
My name is Marco de Brabander and I live in Vlaardingen. A city near Rotterdam in the Neterlands.

I started to play music on keyboards relatively late, when I was 16 years old. I always had a very strong fascination for electronic music and the equipment involved in making music.(Synthesizers, samplers, studio-devices)
After learning the basics of playing music I soon started to compose and later (when I had the money to buy the necessary stuff!) arranging and producing my music.

I did not choose to go for a professional carrier in music. Instead I choose to study architecture and urban design, which is my daily job now.

I like to work in a studio and take the time to compose, arrange and produce my songs. I often work alone but like the aid from some of my talented friends for vocal/lyric/instrumental additions

After I finished my study at the academy in 1997 I began to do some projects under the name MusicoM (short for Music Computer)

Very experimental at first in a project called 'het ongeboren idee' ('the unborn idea') Together with some poets and artists in 1998 with poetry on ballads, experimental beats and soundscapes and video art.

After that I made several lounge, dance and triphop tracks. Some off them you can play or download here Also made a lot of beats for rappers and arranged and produced some bands

I'm mainly driven by the desire to make beautiful pop songs with good vocals. I'm always looking for good vocalist who preferably will be a creative addition to my lyrics, compositions and (vocal)arrangements.

Until now I kept a very low profile with my music. It's just recently I decided to bring it to a more broader public to see if it resonates somewhere.
I'm convinced that it has some quality!!

Because I make different kinds of music with different artists I put it under MUSICOM-Projects for the meantime.
