<b>David Karsten Daniels</b> was born in Lubbock, Texas on August 20th, 1979. His younger years were spent in Montgomery, Alabama and Dallas, Texas where he pursued his artistic abilities relentlessly. After growing up religiously frustrated, David branched out into jazz, improvisation, and performance art. After obtaining his Bachelors degree from Southern Methodist University, where he studied in Paris, France as well as the states, David moved to Portland, Oregon for a year. He decided that Chapel Hill, North Carolina was a better place to pursue his music. The Bu_hanan Collective was formed by David and longtime friends and band mates, Dan Hart and Alex Lazara. Bu_hanan is a musical production company named after the street where David, Dan and Alex set up in Chapel Hill. In 2006, David was signed by Fat Cat Records of Brighton, England and released Sharp Teeth as a co-release between Fat Cat and Bu_hanan. In January 2008, he relocated to Seattle, WA to reunite with Kate, subject of 2004's Angles.<br />
