Ever since she was a little girl Angela knew one thing for sure: she wanted to be singer. Her mother was a singer in a popular soul band and that influenced Angela a great deal. Listening to her mothers albums of vocalists like Donny Hathaway, Minni Ripperton, Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle and Whitney Houston Angela knew she wanted to become a singer as well. At the age of fifteen Angela started partaking in talent shows and joined the girl group Dope Inspiration. The group performed in the popular Escape Venue and even was the opening show for the American group Silk.
